Countertop Installation and Custom Fabrication

Every new countertop starts with a measurement in your space and ends with a finished, polished surface set level on your cabinets. Our countertop installation service covers replacement tops on existing cabinets, new construction and full remodels. Each piece is fabricated to the exact template of your room, not to standard sizes.

Kitchen Countertops and Islands

Perimeter runs, islands and peninsulas cut to fit your layout, including replacement tops set on the cabinets you already have. Our kitchen countertop installation page covers island overhangs, seam placement and sink choices.

Bathroom Vanity Tops

Single and double vanity tops with undermount or vessel sink cutouts and faucet holes drilled for your fixtures. A small vanity can often come from a remnant, so ask about remnant pricing for bathroom vanity countertops.

Outdoor Kitchen Countertops

Maryland winters push water into stone, freeze it and expand it, so material choice matters outdoors. Dense granite usually holds up well, while most quartz is not made for sun exposure. See what works for outdoor kitchen countertops.

Commercial and Restaurant Countertops

Bar tops, reception desks, service counters, restroom vanities and breakroom runs for businesses that need tough surfaces. Learn about our commercial countertop installation work for offices, shops and restaurants.

Waterfall Edges, Inlays and Other Custom Details

Custom work is the heart of what we do: mitered waterfall panels that carry the veining to the floor, stone and metal inlays, logo branding, integrated drainboards and countertop lighting.

We plan seam locations and vein flow with you before anything is cut, so the finished piece looks intentional from every angle. Explore custom countertop fabrication.

Countertop Repair, Sealing and Restoration

Replacing a countertop is not always the answer. Many chips, cracks and dull spots can be fixed in place for far less than a new slab, and our countertop repair service covers granite, quartz and marble. Common problems we fix include:

  • Chipped edges and corners near sinks, dishwashers and ranges
  • Cracks, plus seams that have opened up or sit uneven
  • Undermount sinks that have dropped, gapped or started leaking at the rim
  • Etching and water rings on marble
  • Worn, dull or blotchy stone that needs resurfacing

Natural stone also needs routine care. Our stone sealing and polishing service brings back the shine and helps granite, marble and quartzite resist stains.

Granite, Quartz, Marble and Butcher Block

Most buyers start with a material, then look for a fabricator who can work it well. Here is the honest trade-off for each surface we install, so you can narrow the choice before you shop slabs.

Granite

Natural stone with deep color variation, strong heat tolerance and a long track record in Baltimore kitchens. It is porous, so most granites need periodic sealing. Compare colors and finishes on our granite countertops page.

Quartz

Engineered for consistent color and low maintenance, with no sealing required. The resin binder can scorch or discolor under hot pans, so trivets are a must. See our quartz countertops page for brands and patterns.

Marble

Classic veining and a cool surface that bakers love. Marble is softer and calcium based, so lemon juice, wine and vinegar can etch the polish. Read more about marble countertops.

Butcher Block

Warm wood that is easy on dishes and simple to refresh with light sanding. It needs regular oiling and has to be kept dry around sinks. Learn about butcher block countertops.

How a TopStone Countertop Project Works

Most projects follow the same five steps, whether it is one vanity top or a full kitchen with an island.

  1. Estimate. We measure the space, talk through material, edges and sinks, and give you a written quote.
  2. Slab selection. You choose your material and, for natural stone, approve the slab and how the pattern will be laid out.
  3. Template. Once cabinets are set and your sink and appliances are on site, we make an exact template of every run.
  4. Fabrication. Your countertops are cut, edged, polished and fitted with sink, faucet and cooktop cutouts.
  5. Install and walkthrough. We set the tops, mount the sink, clean up and walk you through care before we leave.

At most shops, fabrication takes one to two weeks after templating, and a typical kitchen installs in a single day. We confirm your own template-to-install timeline at the estimate.

Why Baltimore Homeowners Choose TopStone Granite

We would rather show proof than adjectives. Here is what you can check for yourself:

  • A license you can verify. MHIC #145977 is listed on the state's public license lookup. Very few countertop companies in the Baltimore area publish their license number.
  • Experience in volume. 15+ years and 650+ completed jobs across kitchens, baths, commercial spaces and repairs.
  • Open seven days. Monday to Saturday 7:00am to 9:30pm and Sunday 9:00am to 9:00pm, so you can call or visit when it suits your schedule.
  • Installation and repair under one roof. The company that fabricates countertops also fixes them, so we know how seams, sink mounts and edges fail and how to build them to last.
  • Terms in writing. Your written quote spells out the scope, what is included and the warranty terms for your job.
  • Ready for older homes. Rowhomes and older houses bring narrow stairs, tight turns and walls that are rarely square, and we plan templates, seams and carry routes around them.

Where to Read Our Google Reviews

The best way to judge a countertop company is to read what past customers wrote in their own words. You can read our reviews and see project photos on the TopStone Granite Google Business Profile.

If we have worked on your countertops, we would be grateful for a review there too. It helps your neighbors find a licensed fabricator they can trust.

Answers from our team

Countertop Questions We Hear Most

How long does it take to get new countertops?

At most shops, fabrication takes one to two weeks after templating, and installation of a typical kitchen takes one day. Your timeline depends on material availability, the number of cutouts and any custom details. We confirm your template-to-install timeline at your estimate.

Can you fix a chipped or cracked countertop instead of replacing it?

Usually, yes. Most chips and many cracks in granite, quartz and marble can be filled with color-matched resin and polished so they are hard to spot. See how it works on our countertop repair page.

Do you work in Baltimore rowhomes?

Yes. Rowhome kitchens often mean narrow front doors, steep stairs and long galley runs that may need a planned seam to get the stone inside. Read more on our Baltimore City countertops page.

How can I check your Maryland contractor license?

Search MHIC #145977 on the Maryland Home Improvement Commission's license lookup. Maryland requires home improvement contractors to be licensed, and hiring a licensed contractor gives homeowners access to the state's Guaranty Fund.
